One is Pejeng. Pejeng village located in District Tampaksiring, Gianyar regency, Bali Province, Indonesia. Pejeng village is located between two rivers. In east bounded by Pekerisan river’s and west bounded by Patanu river’s. This village has been known to the world since 1705, when GE Rumphius (an expert in life sciences), wrote about the "Moon Pejeng" which until now held at Penataran Sasih Pura’s.

Besides Pejeng, Gianyar regency has several popular tourist villages, such as the village of Ubud, Goa Gajah, and Tirta Empul. Pejeng village famous for its natural beauty and diverse culture. Pejeng offers stunning natural attractions and cultural community of diverse, ranging from dances and customs. In the village there is a royal Pajeng, namely "Puri Agung Pejeng". This castle is one evidence of the spread or development of the kingdom in Bali.

Pejeng has many historical relics and archaeological heritage, making history and archaeological experts suspect that Pejeng is the most important royal center in the province of Bali in the past. This fact is evidenced by the discovery of the central temple of the kingdom, which Penataran Sasih and Pusering Jagat Pure and Pure Bukit Writing.

Pejeng village has many temples in which there are many ancient statues. These include Pure Kebo Edan, Pure Arjuna Metapa, Pusering Jagat Pure, Penataran Sasih, Pure Manik Corong, Kelebutan Temple, Pure Ukur-Ukuran, and much more. The village includes most villages and their temples have a wide range of historical relics.

In addition to historical relics, Pejeng Desa has a unique tradition, the celebration ceremony in Penataran Sasih performed every 6 months in March and once a year for the big ceremony. In the big celebration, many displayed a variety of local art and local art are very unique, such as "SIAT Sampyan" (coconut leaf war). Celebration "Siat Sampyan" involving the youth, Stakeholder, and Sutri.

Celebration "Siat Sampyan" begins with a prayer together, then ran while dancing around the temple three times, then each person taking a leaf as a weapon of war. This battle starts with each coconut leaf mencambukan (sampyan) to opponents body. Ceremony "Siat Sampyan" has the meaning as mutual help and solidarity as well as teaches that there is no hard feelings among residents. With the ceremony, expected to be rural village Pejeng a safe, tranquil, and peaceful.
